PROFILE
Wool Project manufactures locally in Los Angeles, California. Founded by Kazumi Vites, the Wool Project is the culmination of her 30 years in the fashion industry as a highly skilled pattern maker and technical designer. As a child, the designer would watch her father work tirelessly making kimonos. She was deeply inspired by the precision techniques and beauty that went into his craft. With this, she began making clothes at the age of ten. Wool Project, the new sustainable luxury fashion brand is a collection of casual yet sophisticated knit essentials featuring a wide range of tops, shorts, leggings, lounge pants and dresses that are available in both neutral and muted tones making it easy to mix and match casual and formal ensembles. Key to the brand is its lushly soft yarn blends of natural, organic and recycled materials ethically sourced from Italian and Japanese mills dedicated to socially responsible sustainability. The brand also supports sustainable agriculture methodologies and techniques which increase productivity and benefits farm communities in Egypt while maintaining transparency in its cotton supply chain.
